Dubbingday part 2 (of 2)

17.00-19.00  Bodebrixen-percussionist Magnus visits us. He has just returned from Damascus, from where he has brought a beautiful drum (which probably has a funny name, but I’m not aware of it). Tight as a metronome, he makes the three songs more crispy and firm with some subtle drumming, tambourinehitting and bellswinging hands. He also did some backingvocals on two songs.Wonderful.

19.00 – 22.00 Jakob Brixen, the third guest today, comes and plays guitar on a new song: Endurance in Christmastime. I have tried to record the guitarrole on this song, but it was somehow to difficult for me. I’m not that great a guitarist, you see. And although Jakob said the exactly same thing as soon as he arrived, he managed to pull it off! Jake (as I call him – he looks like a “Jake”!) also did some fine backingvocals on Immanuel and Christmas is here.

I think that we with todays work came closer to closure on some of the songs. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I’m very greatfull to Aske, Rebekka, Magnus and Jakob for their excellent contributions.

On Friday, Aske and I will meet again and probably record some keys. Can’t wait.

Goodnightsleeptight
